Mumbai: Maharastra has reported 7,760 new COVID-19 cases and more than 300 deaths over the last 24 hours.
The total COVID-19 tally for the state of Maharastra surpassed 4,58,000 mark with almost 16,000 death in the state.
Apart from these numbers, the recovery rate in Maharashtra reached 65%, with a total of 3 Lakh recoveries Maharashtra has the highest number of recoveries in the entire nation. The state health department briefed the state government about the rising concerns of the COVID-19 cases in the western state.
Meanwhile, Mumbai reported more than 800 cases in the last 24 hours while the Pune district was badly hitten with 20,978 new cases in the last 24 hours. Pune district has more than 95,000 cases while Mumbai is surging with almost 85,000 cases.
"Of the 1,998 cases, 781 were reported from Pune Municipal Corporation limits (the city), which now has 58,304 cases. With 748 cases, Pimpri-Chinchwad's COVID-19 count now stands at 23,682," an official was quoted as saying by Times Now.
The total COVID-19 tally in India reached a margin of 1.9 million and the country is in the third position for a count of COVID-19 cases. The cases are increasing day by day in India but the rising and the rising concerns for the spread of this virus is the talking point in this pandemic situation.
Maharashtra tops the chart for the most number of corona cases in India and now the death ratio is also increasing which could let down the hopes for the betterment of the situation in India.
